Passiflora Incarnata

The root of the Parsnip, after the first year, is very poisonous, and some cases

of poisoning have been observed, the symptoms of which make up the Schema. A state of perfect

"delirtum tremens" was observed in several persons, illusions of vision, catching at imaginary

objects; fighting with one another. A peculiar effect was produced on the stomach; the irritability

was depressed and emetics would not act.

Delirium tremens.—Quiet delirium, illusions of vision, grasped at imaginary objects;

• ▸incoherent speech; uninterrupted attempts to get out of bed.
• ▸—Incessant talking.
• ▸—Fighting.
• ▸—Fits

of convulsive laughter.

Violent ache as if top of head would come off-eyes felt as if pushed out.

Eyes looked as if starting from head; seemed to her to push out of her head and lie on

the quilt.

Leaden, dead feeling after or between meals; flatulence and sour eructations.

Vomiting of milk in large curds (child, zet. 2, poisoned).—Irritability of gastric

nerves depressed; emetics in double the usual doses have no effect.

Her heels seemed to be up in the air.

Pastinaca.

• ▸O.
• ▸Umbelliferz.
• ▸Tincture of roots of second year.

Skin, red, hot, swollen; eyelids cedematous, translucent.—Blebs on hands and fingers

(child, zt. 2, ate and handled wild parsnip).

• ▸Restless and wakeful, resulting from exhaustion.
• ▸Especially in the feeble, infants and the aged.
• ▸Insomnia of infants and the aged, and the mentally worried, and overworked, with tendency to convulsions.
• ▸Nocturnal cough.

Large doses of mother tincture are required-thirty to sixty drops, repeated several times.
